Well Pamper Me and Call Me a Diva

My last morning in Corpus a group of us met for breakfast on the way to the airport. (just made me teary eyed thinking about the airport goodbye :*(  Andrea gave this card amongst some other things. I love this card and the idea behind it. As soon as I got here I put it up in Cea's guest bathroom to remind me to kick off my shoes and pamper myself.

Not only is the diva in the bathtub sooooo me ... when I get my own house in a couple of months she will be me! Look at my first purchase for my new home! ...
the beginnings of my new bathroom inspired
by my fun card! Am going to play up the lime green and all ... and of course I will hang my card in there as well!

Don't ya just love it????!!!!!!

Can I have some sugar with my iced tRea?

So, Kmart was watering their grass this morning. The wind was blowing
so hard the water missed the grass and created this masterpiece!

I went into town today to get new brakes, roters, oil change and new filters on my red hot chili pepper. Luckily for Me, Cea's Mom runs the service department at her shop and she took great care of me and my pepper. Now it runs as smooth as it looks!

Today is Good Friday. I think they named it that so the goody two shoes could feel great about themselves while those of us that might be a little bad at being good can be forgiven just the same. Forgiveness is a powerful tool and I am so thankful that He gave us all this wonderful gift.

Tomorrow it will be 12 years since my kids and I arrived in Corpus Christi, TX. Wow! Luckily for us the little prick (literally) that took us there moved on with his hoochie mama not too long after.

Beautiful Corpus Christi

Hoochie Mama/Chubacabra
(same difference)
I am so proud that my strong children said we should stay in Corpus and make it our home. We have made life-long family friends there. What a blessing they have all been. I miss my little family but I know if they need anything they have plenty of people that will be there for them. What a blessing.

Ceatriss is in Denver with Bill and Colt for the weekend. Sad, Bill and Manny are from Corpus but I will have a better chance of seeing the happy couple while I live in Wyoming! :)

Hippity Hoppity Easter's on its way!!

Rock On Sista!

Dump Day!
Pavillion doesn't have regular trash service unless you rent your own lovely dumpster to sit outside your home. So, every now and then households hold dump day ... the day they load the trash in the truck and head to the dump! Today was my and Ceatriss' Dump Day.

We drive about two miles away into one of the million middles of nowhere and I am fully expecting to see a landfill full of trash, rats and seagulls. What did I see instead? Three ginormous containers where you toss your trash bags until they are transferred to wherever it is they get transferred to. And I saw this ... this beautiful rock formation that looked, to me, like groups of guardians watching over the land. At the foot of this formation is a "house" made of stone, etc that is partially set into the hillside. Amazing! Next time we have dump day at the transfer I hope to have an awesome digital camera and do some exploring.

SPEAKING OF SEA GULLS ...
My first trip to town, aka Riverton, we get out of the car in the K-Mart parking lot and I hear them ... the seagulls followed my plane here!!! My shoulders fell forward and I made an audible cry of, "NOOOOO!"
I guess it beats a parking lot of grizzlies!

Dinner Rocked. Topped it off with steak.

off to Casper tomorrow with a co-worker for
payroll law training!

PAVILLION POPULATION EXPLOSION

I stopped by the roadside and took this picture yesterday. Amazing! I am # 127. If I had spray paint in the car I just might have added myself for real but then I might have been #5 in the county jail. Now THIS is small town. COZY COUGARVILLE

I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to be #127. Since I arrived here 18 days ago I have met some genuinly kind people - ONE - one person at the Sheriff's Dept was a not so nicey person. No I wasn't arrested for sequin violations - I was having my fingerprints taken for work.

I have learned that when you are going to town you are going to Riverton. When you are going to Lander you are going to Lander. The people in Pavillion are very precise about this. Riverton reminds me of Toronto, Ohio (beloved hometown) but with a larger, more thriving downtown. Lander reminds me of "You've Got Mail" because it has the most quaint little shops around every corner.

People here say POP for well, pop and "CRICK" for creek ... I LOVE IT! I already had to change so much in Corpus ... a buggy from Stacey's IGA turned into a cart at HEB. My sweeper turned into a vacuum. In Corpus they don't put things away ... they put them up. "Put your laundry up and then you can go play." If I was that kid I would hold it above my head and say, "It's up. Now what?" My "you'ins" eventually turned to "y'all" and here in Wyoming they say YOU GUYS.

The people I have met believe I have a Texas accent! That shocked me because everyone in Texas knew for 12 years that I was an outsider with some yankee/snowbird accent.

I dream about my grandbabies some nights and I haven't slep this well in years. I worry about my kids ... I feel like they are 3, 8 and 11 and I just abandoned them on the side of the road - sometimes. Most times I feel like I am starring in Thelma and Louise.

The Dukette of Hazzard

Check out my new car ... this is what never taking vacation days and never leaving your desk can get you after ten years at TAMU-CC. <3

Today is day 17 in Wyoming for this Ohio girl via Texas.  I absolutley love it.

My iPhone is invisible like
my airplane!
I AM wonder Woman!

I have been planning and planning on writing and posting pics. I must say this limited contact with the outside world is taking some getting used to for the person whose iPhone was never further than one foot away from her hand at all times.

I have so much catching up to do but for now ... it's Friday! Fly your freak flag and sprinkle some sequins!
